Leadership Development

The level of success achieved through the implementation of a major change initiative, is dependent upon the leadership skills of the organization's senior management.  These critical skills must exist first, with each of the individual leaders themselves. Next, these individuals must build the collective skills needed for them to be an effective "leadership team".  Lastly, the leadership team must build the level of consensus needed to lead the organization to success.

Change Solutions Group uses a 3-phase approach to help our clients build their individual leadership skills and to improve their Leadership Team effectiveness, which in-turn, improves business performance.

Phase 1 - Develop Individual Leadership Skills

  • Conduct 1-on-1 discussions with each member of the Leadership Team to understand their career history, their personal goals and challenges, their current roles and responsibilities, and the goals and challenges of their current organization.

  • As appropriate, administer a diagnostic survey to assess the personal styles and leadership skills of the individual leader.  Among others, these diagnostic tools may include the Emotional Quotient Inventory EQ-i®, the Life Orientations® (LIFO), or the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI).

  • Conduct confidential feedback meetings, create individual development plans, and provide follow-up coaching, as needed.

Phase 2 - Enhance Leadership Team Effectiveness

  • Observe the individual leader in various group settings and personal interactions; provide feedback and progress reports for their individual development plans.

  • Combine individual diagnostic score to create a composite for the Leadership Team, and facilitate meetings to share and discuss composite results.

  • Develop action plans to improve Leadership Team effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching, as needed.

Phase 3 - Improve Business Performance

  • Apply enhanced individual skills and Leadership Team effectiveness to the solution of a pressing, real life business problem.

  • Employ action research tools to improve business performance and promote continuous learning.

  • Provide follow-up coaching, as needed.
